Only worldly

The horizon before me is monotone and gray, a dream inside a fantasy portrayed as an escape. The stressful life style, which I embrace, is a waste of time and space in retrospect. The stars in the sky have vanished without a trace a symbol of my self fading through days. Clench my eyes closed, bite my lip, and replay a fleeting grip on reality. There's nothing left to see under this veil of perception, the truth is too far beyond our limited senses. Our minds can only hope and/or pretend to grasp the intricate complexity of our simple lives
